A outdated Olympus D-360L 1.3 Megapixel with a small 8 MB memory card that only holds 35 photos, and I use Camedia to put the photos on their and paint shop pro 8 to touch them up.

I'm thinking of getting the canon rebel (if it's the same as canon eos 300D the same i think) so is it good?

Yeah, it's the same. Except it's film-based. Go for it--it's a great beginner's camera.

**** canon for digi unless you are shootin telephoto because of the huge crop factor. nikon is the only company to have a full frame fisheye for digital SLRs. i have a nikon D70 with the kit lens and a 80-200MM f2.8 lens ($2,000 new but i got it used for $200) with a 512MB and 1GB card

07-12-2006, 08:28 PM
^^ pshh canons the best. 2 year old nikons break randomly. 5-year-old canons work like new(trust me i have 3)sorry nikon, but your breaking-ness is ***

DkJoshy
07-12-2006, 08:47 PM
except that canon lenses are ****in expensive and the low quality beginner lenses are made of plastic. nikon has way better glass for the price and the glass is what matters not the megapixels. if you're planning on shooting fish on canon and you dont have a mkII 16 megapixel cam i laught at you

07-12-2006, 09:33 PM
i'm getting one. and the case is plastic so it lasts linger, noob

Yeah! At least someone else understands this. That's what we've always been taught. People need to stop getting so caught up in megapixels and consider the lense quiality as being just as important.
