Thought this would be interesting for everyone to review there local park. Just shout at me and called a 'watermelon' if it isn't. I can take a bit of abuse!

This is out local park. it is currently under reconstruction over the winter. There is a 15 foot vert wall with 6 foot of vert, corner wallride, two jump boxes after each other leading to a 9 foot 1/4. This is next to a 5 foot 1/4 with a 4foot subbox on top. Opposite this there is a volcanoe, and there will be a new driveway. Not sure what its gonna look like yet (possibly a like double with a ledge next to it.) A huge wallride to the back of the vert ramp out of a 6 foot 1/4.That is next to a crazy vert wall thing, which is a 1/4 to flat to a mellower flat to vert .(see second picture. very hard to explain.) Theres then a 11-12 foot vert ramp, next to a 9foot 1/4 which is before the jump boxes. This is next to the spined mini. The spine is ment to be the biggest in europe at 7 foot.

All in all this place rules. you can flow round the place no problem. It may not be ideal for beginners, but once you've got the hang of the size of the ramps its very fun. It is also built and run by BMXers. the owner is a super nice bloke, and always likes to help you out while your riding there. Hope to see you there soon!

Look forward to hearing about other peoples local parks!

Edit: one more thing its £2 to ride there all day. 12 noon-9PM!

GreenHill Park

here is my local skatepark.

http://www.breakinggroundskateparks.com/images/wostwo.jpg

and theres a huge bowl in the back.

this by far is the only skatepark in worcester

the only bad thing about this park is the fact that its in a shady neighbor hood and there are always skaters flowing around.

Well these pictures were taken a few years back and everything marked with a red X isn't there anymore, and unfortunately when they were there I wasn't riding yet. The one quarter pipe labelled "WEED" was there for a few weeks when I first started but then it was taken away.

There are now 2 bigger versions of those little brown manipads, a kinked rail and.. that's it. The wood funbox is pretty trashed I'd say, the top is warped and hard to do anything on, but it still has a place in my heart as my first grind spot. The big quarter pipe is steep and you would slip and kill yourself if you tried to icepick it, I have seen a local double peg it though. It's also very scary when your trying to learn how to air >.>. The big blue bank is interesting, only trick ive ever seen on it are fufanu combos and the box at the top is to short to do anything with pegs. Highway barrier although simple are alot of fun to wallride, the banks used to have a flat part in between but that broke so now it's just a bank to bank... and those banks are bound to be gone soon to Well that's it i think.

I rate this park a 4/10, if you ever take a detour in Ontario and stumble across Kemptville, turn your car around and get the **** out.

hey worcester joe you have a really nice park.

well heres mine:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v380/oz360/mornington2.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v380/oz360/mornington1.jpg

as you can see this isnt much of a park. everything in it can be seen in these 2 photos. it has a hip, a pyramid, a box, a bank and a 1/4.

the one thing i really like about this park, is the 1/4 with the bank behind it. it is great fun doing fufanus and tyretaps on that. but unfortunately the 1/4 is only just wider than a bike length, so when your dropping back in you have to be carfull not to run into the 'sides' (see the pic)

i might post a review of the shed some time. (another way better indoor park close(ish) to me)

I haven't been to my park in months since I got no ride and its 5 miles away and its too cold to ride their. Its made out of the real real cheap kind of skatelite. Its like a ripoff of the stuff.

Theirs a 4 foot mini ramp but its very steep not made for bikes.
A 4 foot quarter pipe even steeper.
2 rails 1 regular and 1 kinked.
a 4 foot bank which is fun then it leads to the 3 foot high tabletop and then that quarter pipe I was talking about.
theirs 2 grind boxes just high enough for 1 inch of tire clearance.

Thats it. I give the park a 2/10. Ramps are made for skateboarders and theirs always security their that kicks bmxers out. But they let scooters in. Pisses me off.

I forgot to mention all of the hills around the skate park, well all the BMX'ers in Kemptville (there's about 9 of us) pitched 20 bucks each for some dump trucks of dirt and next season all that is going to be a pretty nice dirt track. Small beginner jumps on one side, medium, and then large ones. also behind the big "KILL BMX" bank is going to be a big dirt wallride.

The only skatepark in albuquerque: Los Altos Skatepark
I haven't been to this park for like a month and I know that nothing has changed cuz its all concrete. I dont like going basically cuz of the fact that its concrete but there is still some good stuff to hit.
Some facts about it:
-35,000 sq ft of bikeable area
-Theres a street course along with bowls
-Summer Hours (May - Aug)
8:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Winter Hours (Sept through Apr)
9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Well onto the review or half way into it. Once you enter from the front (theres 3 or 4 entrances) you find yourself looking at the street course which is basically a raised level with a a 20 foot box of concrete with a rail on top and on the side, then you see a couple of little 5 foot boxes. This is where the funs at for me cuz i'm no good on the volcanos except the mini which is lots of fun to do little sh*t on like one footers/handers, barspins, x-ups and so on. Theres also benches so u can bring your girlfriend or grandma to impress for no reason at all. Most of the park is swarmed with people from the gangster side of town trying to skate or bike and then theres the people who know how to skate and could care less about putting a 9 in someones ass. Thats basically this whole city sad to say. Check the map for REALLY detailed info on the park. You'll probably want to zoom in on it for heights and info on the object in the park. Overall if you like to mess around on rails and bowls and got some good padding then you'll like this park. I can't really rate this park because i'm not a hardcore vert guy but i like the street course particuarly because the rails are fairly low to the ground to get up on and to manual the boxes.

Thats only $180 for dirt. Thats f*cking cheap man! How big we're the dump trucks and how many piles exactly? My dad can get the dirt and dump trucks back here but it costs a hell of alot for dirt. For all the dirt I need it will be like $500 plus alot for the labor of them coming back here. Thats just to make a 8 pack (4 jumps and 4 landings, I'm making doubles) with jumps about 5 foot high each! Its so expensive :(

lol you get what you pay for. I remember helping make the backyard jam jumps. They had 10 trucks of £10/ton mud and 1 of £100/ton. The cheap mud was full of crap. Every kind of crap you can ever dream of. So they jumps were made of crap and covered in good mud.

i dont have a "local park" . the closest one has a spine two small ramps a grind box and two small quarters (places no where near each other) ... oh and about thirty skaters on any givin day. yea toronto sucks for park.. one reason i have only been to an acctual park a handfull of times in the 5 years i have been riding .. but toronto has no end to good street spots!!

There's two right by me, but both don't allow bikes, and I haven't had a chance to jump the fence at night yet.

Within an hour, there's two big indoor parks.

http://www.688skatepark.com
http://www.skateparkoftampa.com/

Both of them allow bikes, on certain days only.
