Hey what is going on every one? ive been riding my bike for just around half a school year. I have been doing street and only street. since its winter and the weather is some what nice and cool every one is Dirt jumping now. we have these jumps all over. the bigest ones we have are called the NUT. there is a jump that has a 20foot gap. its insane. Well i dont know how to jump on a BMX bike. i can hit big jumps on a mountain bike but once i attempt to jump on my bmx i freak out. If you have some pointers please post them. i can use all i can get. thank you.. :)

On bmx bikes its totally different when you jump. The first times you jump it will KILL your wrists i'm just warning you but take it like a man!! Also you have to pull up more and go faster then a mountain bike.

Also did you hit that 20 foot gap with your mountain bike? Biggest gap I took on my mountain bike was 13. I wished I could of went to 20. Mountain bike dirt jumping is so much easier and safer.

no ive done an 18. it was mad crazy. i jumped it and did a one footer table top. its funny ive only ridden mountain bikes for 3 days so far. ive been jumping my friends avoc or something like that. and the first day i jumped i got the the place were all the jumps were and hit the biggest one there. no biggy. i was not affraid or anything. then i did a table top. one footer. and shit. but then i attempted to do a table top one footer and ate shit. so i did it again on an 18 foot gap. its pretty crazy. Its funny tho. i use to be fearless as a little kid like 8 or something. i was jumping dirbikes and bmx and shit. now i attempt to jump a bmx and i freak out. its wierd how my body works. hahah

probably the reason why you hit some just on the dirt bike is because its heavier so it feels more stable in the air. cause i race motox in the 125 class and it feels so smooth when your in the air, ive hit a 110 ft gap on it and it still feels a lot easier then hitting a 10ft gap on my bike.

Yea, i dont race but i can ride them pretty good. ive ridden my dads Suzukki 650. it was mad crazy. and my uncles 250. i can jump on those. but bmx just feels so wierd. i guess i just need to suck it up and go big. u know what i mean. hahaha

LOL the first time I jumped my dune buggy going through the woods back here scared the sh*t out of me (well not really but almost!). I got like 6 foot air going 60mph on like a 6 inch jump that was their to jump across this little lake. I had to jump about 60 feet it was nuts. Thats why i'm not that scared to jump trails. Once you get on a honda crf 230 and jump 5 foot jumps with 30 foot gaps you want to try it on a bmx now

Hell yeah they kick ass! I miss riding mine, I had plans on riding it in the snow this year because i'm putting my dads 2 stroke yahama (sp?) 250 on it but I need a welder and a new shifter. Once I get it on their with a new pipe and tires i'm takeing over the trails in my woods  If I shift at the red line (which will move my redline to 9,500 RPM's with a new rev box also) ill be able to hit atleast 85mph. It will be awesome. I used to pop wheelies and hold them for a couple hundred feet with a small 125cc engine.

Also before I put the new tires on i'm burning the old ones right off the rim on this smooth and brand new street right by my road and ill have it on video if you would like to see it.

the 125cc engines are sorta small, but if you ride the 2004 Suzuki RM125 or the 05 they can haul some fat assed people around like nothing, ive seen it done. also the 05 Yamaha YZ125's are have an even stronger stock motor and are like 10lbs lighter.

Yeah the 125cc engine was small. But it was a 2 stroke. 2 strokes kick 4 strokes ass and I love the way they sound

Very nice bikes Cat but try to get some actual photos :)

your bike are nice, and some tips on dirt jumping is you CANT be afraid, just have your helmet on and some other protectors and just pull up upon the bars to get good height and get a good speed aswell.

yea. when you are in the air and you go to land you have to guide the nose down rite so you dont just slam. I took pics last night of my bikes and ill post them here soon. thank you for the help.
