Shadow makes some quality products, as they are designed and tested by riders. the bar ends are no excpetion. made of 6061-t6 aluminum, they are some of the lighter and stronger ones out there. these in my opinion are the best looking ends you can buy. the laser etched logo can only be seen if you shift them left and right. alot of bar ends get stuck very easly and you need a crobar to remove them, but not with these. i had them in my bars for 6 months, and they removed very easy. i bought them for 25 bucks, and compared to fbm's bar ends (36 bucks) there dam cheap. for sure, a 10/10.

yeah i also have these and i agree with everything you said, they are really good value because they were only £10 which is about half the price of some other brands. And like you said they were really easy to remove and refit again and again.

you gotta wonder why they used a welding grade of aluminum as aposed to a machining grade.. bah no one cares.. thy look nice! i still think plastic ones are the way to go..

im gonna have to agree with street. most of the time before the plastic ones crack and break off, your gonna need new grips anyways. thats how it is for me atleast

yeah but you see the plastic ones will get jammed in there and need to be extracted with a crowbar or pliers (in my experience anyway)
And these can be used every time you get new grips even if they dont come with bar ends. And they dont splinter and cut you up like the plastic ones do

i have never had plastic ones splinter or get lost in my bars. nor have i ever taken a crow bar to any part of my bike. when the plastic ones are done they usaly fall out and bam a new one gets put in its place. ill go through two a year ish

Plastic bar ends rock. I had mine for 4 years now and now they are breaking finally. I always layed my bike down on its side and threw my bike pretty far when I bailed and it always landed on the bars. But I am thinking metal ones are like x100 better because they are built better. I have some metal bar ends now I am hoping they last just as long and even longer then my old plastic ones :)

well its probably just my experiences but i think the plastic ones suck, anyway back on topic if you are going to buy metal bar ends then these are a great buy
(and i didnt literally mean a crow bar, just a hammer  )
keep it real

my plastic ones keep breaking and i get them out with a good ol' cork screw....i think its time to invest in some wicked metal ones

i am really likeing the proper barends, even though you might have a problem with dirt getting in them..if you have seen them, the are the ones with the little allen bolts on each side that you put on the bars, more of bar caps if you will  but yea they are drilled in the middel, and would leave some pretty awsome bruises.....

hmm the plastic ones you unscrew 'em and then you ahve the screw sticking out... hit the screw in with a hammer and they come up super easy... no need to be stupid and take a prybar to them..
