Cost: $12.99 USD
Use: Street/Park Tire
Max PSI: 110 psi
Colors: Black

I use this Maxxis: Ringworm as a back tire for street and park. I had it for 3 months now. These things rock I tell you! This is all you ever wanted in a street or ramp tire! It grips like no other tire I had (I tryed multiple street tires like haro ms-4 tire, kenda kikzumbut tire.)

When I first learned wallrides, it stuck to the wall like glue if you go fast enough! Also when I learned how to grind on this ledge, the sidewalls on these tires got rubbed alot, but didnt lose any tred! Thats the plus with these tires, its great for begginer grinders and wallriders!

These tires have a huge max psi (PSI = Pounds of air per square inch) it refers to as how much air you can put in the tire and how hard it will become. Most tires has 60-80 psi, since this one has 110 psi it will be alot harder, but I ride mine at 80 psi in the back! Its hard enough and I haven't had a pinch flat in 3 months! Before when I rode the kenda tire, I got a pinch flat like EVERY day and it was a bunch of crap, so I got this tire off a friend, he only used it once or twice and then he gave it to me because I was in need of one. Also, when your tire is really hard, its harder to bend your rims, or get a pintch-flat which is when you land really hard and all the pressure is put on your tubes and they pop and you could get rim damage. When you run this tire at a higher psi is also helps with punctures caused by thorns and glass and other sharp objects!

If you like to do skids use this tire! You can make long skids, make nice black marks everywhere, and it won't wear down as much as other tires! Its so much fun, I love doing skids and no tire has lasted me more then a week when I do them like this.

Overall, I give this tire a 10/10. Best tire I ever had and I know for a fact that it will last me as long as I ride.

just curious as to how you do skids on this (your back tire) when you only have a front brake ?

Before when I used it on my other frame I had back brakes, leaned forward, and then fishtailed my back end out everywhere.

Now I stick my foot under my seat post and tire that way my tire locks up and it skids :)

I agree it's an awesome tire. I'm running it on the back now because I was having a lot of trouble with pinch flats on tires with lower psi ratings. I've got 110psi in the ringworm and haven't had a flat in over a month (I was gettin them every day before). The ringworm even holds up pretty good at the trails as long as they're hard packed and dry. Oh and one other thing, kenda tires suck ass.

I love this tire. Its one of the only tires I would run. Its not the grippiest tire but it hold up really well. High pressure and comes in a range of sizes. The only problem is its price at the local bike shop(20usd) but my freinds own anythingxtreme.com so I get them for like 8. Pretty happy with it :D

one of the best cheapest tires, ever. hands down. i finally replaced my other ringworm after riding it for 51/2 months, even though it didnt need to be replaced, still had tread and wasnt bald in anyplaces, good news, i got another one because i liked the way it looked and how it handled.

i have allways used ring worms... in 1 year and 2 months of biking i've only had 2.

When i bought my first bmx (dk six pack) the back tyre went in 2 weeks, i replaced it with a maxxis ring worm... it lasted 1 year and a month, and now i have my new bike and i run the same tyre again

Yeah I was gonna buy the ring worms based on the treadpattern and the psi rating then I saw the hookworms and remembered when I used them on my mtb a few ears back.

I find 110psi way too much it really hurts my wrists, even 80psi is too much sometimes.

Just dont use these tyres in the wet you havent got a chance.

What didn't you like about the Haro MS4's? I run them and they are lasting a long time. They are rated very high and I run them maxed out. They grip very well and are very thick. They work great at the trails too, I never slip out.
Why don't you like them?

Edit: wtf? I looked on danscomp and the psi rating for the ms4's is 120, I looked at my tires and the max says 65. I don't know what the real max is but I run them very high...

Your rist hurt because you ride your mountain bike too much. jk, I could care less what kind of bike you ride as long as your not a prick(hint hint, a lot of roadies around here, hint hint.)

I have a spare MS4. The reason I don't like them is they cost so much more then the ringworm. If you have enough money for a MS4 you should just get a revenge industries.

The MS4's are only 15 dollars. The revenge industries tire is 20 dollars.
Ah personal preference I guess.
