This is the only brake lever i have ever had to buy and i got it as a nice replacement for the stock tektro lever which came with my bike.
Some of the main features which made this stand out to me are the clamp design meaning you do not have to remove the grips to install and remove it and the shape of the acctual lever.
The price of this lever seemed to vary from shop to shop but it was still a few pounds more than a dirty harry or a tech 77.
The lever itself has a nice pre bent shape to it which means that even when run on the bend of the bar it still sits in a nice comfortable position to grab and pull.
The action of the lever is also very nice and smooth, it gives a lot of leverage and i definately noticed an increase in braking power with this.

So then to summarise:

Pros
works well on bend of bar,
tough black finish,
bolt already had loctite on!!,
came with primo sticker.

cons
slightly higher cost than competitors,
umm sugest anything else you can think of

9/10 another good primo product

yeah i think it would, personally i use a single cable but the gemini cable is designed to fit standard levers so i think it probably would. The only bit that might give you trouble is that oversised barrel adjuster, its pretty big and im not sure how that would work out with the cables you mentioned above.

I've read somewhere that it doesn't work with gemini cable, but I'm not sure.

It will not work with a double upper gyro cable. The barrel ajusters to big. you will have to file out parts of it.

Nice review. I run one of these levers and agree with everything you said. this lever is stiff...

well i take that back. Having now snapped 3 of these levers, 2 of which where done in 3 days.
I have snapped the lever off once. The other two times have been at the hinge. Im now runnin a dirt harry, and have notice that my brake feels much smoother with this lever. The hinges are also considerably thinker than the Primo. I'll wait and see how long this Dirt Harry lasts....

3 8O wow i find that hard to believe but i guess possible. I have this lever and the only thing i don't like about it is how the lever itslef is kinda blocky.

Did they snap from pulling on the lever, or from a crash resulting in impact ot the lever?

PS A good way to prevent ANY lever from snaping when you crash is to run it the slightest bit loose, enough that it won't move but to where you can forcibly movie it on your own. When it gets hit it will just move instead of snapping.

it was from a crash.
It was run loose so it could move.

In that case it probably does suck.
