you can get linux all over and you can get it for free or at a very cheap price  go to borders and get a linux book, they usually come with a distro of linux. i think redhat and slackware are the best distros IMO

im running fedora core, which is the new red hat, on my comp n my room because windows was screwing up and chrasing all the time so i erased my harddrive and started over, i personally perferred windows just becasue it was easier than using the command box.
my dad set it up for me though so i cant help you, sorry, try google

I also run SuSe 9.1 at home. I have SuSe sticker on my helmet! What part of setting up the connection are you having trouble with? Are you in the terminal or desktop?

i dont know at all how to go about setting up a connection. i think my modem is compatiable, if it isnt i have other modems lying around. its be great if someone could walk me thorugh setting one up.

oh yeah i have SuSe 9.0 but i installed slackware 9.1 instead should i go over to suse? is it easier to use?

thanks
