My first experience with the Primo Hula Hoop was when I got my first "good BMX", a custom-built Fly Diablo 3, with an Odyssey Hazard Cassette laced to Primo Hula Hoop with DT Swiss spokes. Due to being a noob, I constantly under-rotated my 180's and 360's, landed a lot of motowhips off-center, and neglected the spoke tension to the point that I had to finger-tighten the nipples so the spokes wouldn't pop loose in mid-ride. Despite all that abuse and neglect, the Hula Hoop remained steadfast and did not look any worse for wear when I unlaced it and gave it away a year and a half later, due to buying a new hub with less spokes (36), and the rim being uncompatible with it (48 hole).
